The Greater Vidalia® Chamber welcomed more than 130 business and community leaders on Thursday, April 2nd for a State of Emergency Preparedness Luncheon held at Lyons First Baptist Church.
The event focused on equipping local businesses with the knowledge and tools needed to prepare for potential emergencies and threats that could impact operations and community safety.
Attendees heard from keynote speakers GBI Special Agent Michael Kight and Toombs County Deputy EMA Director CJ Worden, who shared valuable insights on risk awareness, emergency planning, and proactive strategies businesses can implement to safeguard employees, customers, and assets.
Both speakers emphasized the importance of preparedness in today’s ever-changing environment, encouraging businesses to develop response plans, stay informed, and collaborate with local agencies to ensure a coordinated approach during times of crisis.
